About me

Hi! I'm Pedro Luis Coelho, an old chap born in Penafiel around 1986. Ever since then, I've been busy doing some neat stuff with my life, including getting a Masters degree in Computer Engineering.

I also have hobbies, that revolve around music, generally. I play the guitar, the mandolim and the portuguese guitar. I guess I am fairly good at this, since the guys at Tuna de Engenharia have been putting up with me ever since I joined them, in 2004.

What I look forward to do

Every person that has ever come across with me at least semi-professionally will tell you I'm quite good at computer networks and systems administration. I've been doing that for a while at Nucleo de Informatica. I also know my way around computer security.

Most of my complete projects are applications developed for the web. I've worked with PHP (both raw and frameworked), Ruby on Rails and plenty of JavaScript (raw, jQuery'ed and ocasionally Prototype'd).

Finally, I've recently developed a keen interest in developing applications for mobile environments, such as the iPhone, Android OS or Windows Mobile. I'm still beginning on this, but I'm liking it a lot!
